Color sealing is the process of recoloring and sealing grout. It is a great way to change the look of your tiled areas without completely removing the grout. It is also a great way to hide any areas that may need new grout, as it is almost impossible to perfectly match new grout to the old.

For older showers, color sealing can cover hard water stains. The color seal also provides a moisture barrier, preventing future stains, mold, and mildew, and also creating low maintenance for cleaning. If you are considering new décor or just a fresher look, the benefits of color seal are endless.

We do not recommend this to be a DIY project as proper application and quality of product is key. Grout also needs to be carefully inspected as it may not be in the best condition to be sealed.

The Process

Color seal is applied directly to the grout lines of porcelain or ceramic tiles. We do not recommend sealing the grout of natural stone, unless the stone itself has been sealed.

The steps to color sealing are as follows:

1.     The tile and grout is steam cleaned utilizing our Roto wash and industrial steamer and allowed to dry.

2.     The color seal is applied directly to each grout line and allowed to set.

3.     The area is carefully inspected, and any excess sealer is removed.
